The Wedding!!

First off Engagement Pictures.

We did 2 different sessions for these.  One in Snowflake and one in Safford. My sister was our photographer for everything!  She did amazing and I loved what she did!

SNOWFLAKE:

 SAFFORD:

My favorite
Obviously these are just a few and they happen to be some of my Favorites!
I hated being engaged!!  It is torture upon torture, especially for a girl as tom boyish as me.  I hated it!!

I have to give props to these 2 amazing ladies, they got me through everything, dragged, pulled, with me kicking and screaming.  I am the worst "girl" in the world.  I didn't have a clue what I wanted, and I didn't care!  My mom and sister planned everything, which I am very grateful.  I was forced into making a few of decisions, which I am really bad at.  They were so patient with me and helpful.  I was trying to concentrate on Nursing school and Wedding plans just was not what I spent my time on.  When I did have free time, I tried to look things up and make some decisions and toss some ideas around with them.  Wedding plans isn't the only horrible thing about being engaged, Satan works on you 10x harder and it is just the pits!!  It was torture!!  We made it through alive and extremely happy!!

Jordan and I were married December 30, 2011 @ 9:15 am in the Snowflake Arizona Temple.

We were sealed by Jordan's Grandpa Squires, if you have seen previous posts you know that I love this man, it was beautiful and lots of family was able to come and be apart of it.  I love my family, the promises that are made are beautiful and I am so grateful that I get to be with my family forever.  I am so grateful that Jordan and I made the choice to be married here, obviously there was really no other option we both were determined, but I am proud of us for making it here and being worthy of the blessings.

Again Emery took these pictures as well, these were done the day before.  Brook was able to take some the day of but.. very sad story, all pictures from Emery and Brook besides the couple pictures were lost.  I found this out in May when I was trying to look at all of the reception pictures and everything else and there was just absolutely nothing!  I am determined not to get extremely down about it, I just know that it will be okay and low and behold things were.  Luckily Ryann, and her up and coming joy of photography, took lots of pictures.  I now have pictures of family outside of the temple and some of the reception as well.  I am so very grateful!!  I still don't have them in my possession yet so those pictures will have to wait.

The day over all was beautiful.  We were married and took a bazzillion pictures with family and more of the 2 of us while everyone else went to go eat and we caught up later.  We had BBQ catered for everyone by Dave Wood and it was amazing!!  We ate a little and then left while everyone else slaved over decorating, I honestly can't remember if I stayed to help or not but I am pretty sure they let us sneak away to the bed and breakfast to find our room and get situated and to take a much needed nap!  We woke up in time to go get some food for a luncheon my family was having before Uncle Roger's Funeral and viewing
We went to the luncheon after our Nap and it was so great to see so much family.  Jordan got a bit of a hard time especially from my cousin Donovan.  We came in and Donovan asked how our "nap" was and Jordan just put his thumbs up to say it went well.  Donovan laughed and said I hope there was more than just your thumbs up.  I about died!!!!

Our reception was perfect!  It was absolutely beautiful, so classy and elegant, exactly how I wanted it.  It was held in the Heritage Social Hall upstairs.  It was Black Table cloths and chair covers.  Red and Lime Green chair ties alternating.  There was Damask Squares on tops of the Tables and Long Damask Table covers for the refreshments.  Our Center pieces were rectangle vases filled with the clear Gel beads with cherries and limes lining the glass with a Red Gerber Daisy coming out with a damask bow.  We had little sayings and signs everywhere in our colors.  It was beautiful!! We stood at the end of the room under the arch that was wrapped in lights.  We had so many people come through the receiving line.  It was none stop from 7-9.  at 9 we were finally able to cut the cake which was delicious! We smashed it in each others faces, there is no other way to do the cutting of the cake.  Jordan and I sang our song "I wanna grow old with you".  This was a last minute choice.  We were supposed to dance to this song but our parents (our moms) thought it would be even better if Jordan played and we sang together.  So that is what we did.  So last minute we had to change the song we danced to. We danced to "I don't want to miss a thing".  We hadn't listened to the whole thing before we started dancing to it and we just laughed when he starts kind of screaming at the end.
I got to dance with my dad to "I loved her first".  My dad picked out the song and it was perfect.  I cried, he cried and I loved dancing with my dad!
The Yuma reception was a week later and a friend of Jordan's family's house.  It was again absolutely beautiful!!  It was half inside half outside.  The tables were set up out side and used the same decorations as our reception.  I don't remember half the people there.  So many new faces that I hope I get to see again so I can really meet them.  It was beautiful with great food and a lot more relaxed.  It was requested that I dress up again and it was so fun to be able to wear my dress twice and feel absolutely beautiful all over again.  We got to sing our song again and it went so much better the 2nd time around. I loved that we got to just walk around and chat with people and actually got to eat some of the food.  It was a great first trip to Yuma.
