Grandma.. and her Chicken Noodle Soup

The start of a new school year has begun...
Jordan so far has loved his classes.  He is playing music all day long and is learning more about it which he absolutely loves.  I think he will like it even more when they really get started.  I am really quite jealous of how much he is loving school, this is his DREAM!!!  I am so very happy for him for doing what he loves, and I hope he will continue to do what he loves.
Me on the other hand, is already sick from school. I am sick of school too but literally SICK from school. I am sick and have been since the middle of this week.  I don't get sick all that often, I don't think.  But when I do I am the biggest baby known to man (at least I feel like I am).  Poor Jordan doesn't know what to do with me.  We went and got soup (which happened to be on sale :D)  and it has helped a lot.  I love learning about being a nurse.. and I am quite excited about this semester.  I am more excited for this one than any of the others.  We are learning about Ob and Peds!  I can't wait to work with sick little kids, it will be so sad but I am most excited to work with them.  I am also excited for the chance to actually see a baby be brought into this world.  Everything else so far in nursing has been interesting.. but I have a feeling I may be in love with this semester.  The beginning of the school year is always crazy busy for Nursing students.  I have had skills lab 4 days this week and class 3 days this week, each of those classes being 4 hours long, as well as trying to train a new work-study and do over 50 med cards and pass our pharm/math class.  I passed by the way.  I stressed a lot, thus why I am sick I am pretty sure.  I got a 95%.  OH HAPPY DAY!!  If I can keep this up I will be super happy!
Last weekend was my last scheduled day of work at the Copper Steer.  I am so happy I am free of that place.  I am on call but I don't feel obligated to work unless I am completely free.  We don't really need the money so I don't feel any obligation there either.  We were lucky to both get grants this year and Jordan's scholarship as well as what we have saved for the summer.  That means we both get to concentrate on school and work our little work-study jobs and be happy little college students.  Another reason I am super excited about this semester.
Today we got our car fixed... I went to Big O at 8 this morning for our appointment.  I left at 12:45.  I got to spend the morning hearing a repeat of the sports news... BORING!!  Once was fine, I didn't mind, But 4 times this morning was too much,  and I was sick and had to keep making trips to the bathroom to blow my nose.  Long morning.  But it is fixed and cheaper then we were expecting!! :D  YAY!!  Also thank goodness for coupons, $50 off.  Then Jordan and I fixed our bike today.  We are cruisin now!!  Lots of things to be grateful for!
Happy Birthday Grandma!!
This week was my Grandma's Birthday, 60!!  Can you believe it?  I couldn't!  She looks so great too!  I hope I have her genes because she is one beautiful lady, inside and out!!  My grandma is one of my best friends.  She always told me I was supposed to be hers and not my mother's.  I am glad I got them both!  I worked for her during high school and got to have lots of long talks with her, I don't think we worked very hard when I was there.  It was my favorite, and as soon as I graduated from high school I moved in with her.  I finally had my own room :D  It was one of my favorite summers!  She has taught me so much and has been always right by my side.  The only thing I have wanted this week while being sick is my Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup, it cures everything.  Even if it doesn't it makes me feel so much better.  I have missed being so close and getting to visit her whenever I wanted.  She is one of the strongest people I know.  She has gone through so much and all because she loves her family so much and would do anything to help make them happy.  I love you Grandma!!

I hope you get to feeling better! Being in school and being sick is the worst. Also, good luck in nursing school this year. You are going to be a great nurse working with kids :)

Thanks Jessica!! I appreciate it. I am feeling better and so far I love it!! Good luck with school as well. I will have to talk to you about it sometime. Jordan is thinking of going into that, I think he would love to hear from someone who is actually in it, and decide how to go about doing it.
