Being 10x more in LOVE, and Counting!!
We have been married for 6 months! That is just crazy to me!! We are loving life as well. We have definitely had our ups and downs, but we have become closer together and a stronger couple because of it. We were able to get through our first semester of school, married. We had good grades, but are hoping to do even better this upcoming semester. Jordan was able to take a Summer Math class with Mr. Orr and he did AWESOME!! He finished with an A and 3rd in his class. So proud of him! Now I am starting my Math class and hopefully I can do as well as he did with his class. I am taking my last CoReq for Nursing, Human Pathophysiology. So far I have loved it, just long days. It is a perfect refresher for Nursing, now I just have to look over and memorize drugs.
We have been blessed with a few jobs for the summer. I am still working at the Copper Steer Steakhouse (as of the end of October) as a Waitress now 3 days a week and whenever I am asked to cover. For June I was lucky enough to keep my work-study job for Trish and helped clean and organize things in her office. Jordan at first was a little less lucky. He had looked for a job all throughout last semester with no luck. He had a crazy schedule for school and no one wanted to hire him. He finally was offered a job at Denny's with a lot of help from our wonderful friend Allan Self! This was right around Spring Sing weekend and started working the night shift, leaving at 6 at night and not getting home till 3 sometimes 4 in the morning. That was hard. He again tried to find a better job for the summer and we had no luck until a couple weeks ago. We had a pretty for sure that he was going to get a job at an Air Conditioning place.. We applied and waited and waited... and was then offered a Roofing Job and decided to take it since he wasn't hearing anything from the other job. He worked for a week then finally heard from the AC and had his interview last monday and got the job starting on Tuesday. This week is his First week working full-time. He still works a night or 2 at Denny's and so far it is working, hopefully it keeps up.
When we first moved into our ward we were both called as the Choir Accompanist.. it was a little rough. Our choir director had plans to move so nothing really happened. So he moved and Jordan was promoted (called) to be the new Choir Director. We have no idea what we are doing!! We were asked to start at the beginning of the summer, it has been hard to have a consistent stream of people, we are hoping it will continue to get better. We still don't know most of the people from our ward so it has been hard to ask people to come. Jordan has been doing such a great job! He has decided he wants to try out music in School at EA so this is the perfect introduction to all of that. It is helping both of us grow and develop or strengthen our talents.
Well enough with the boring stuff, I just want to say how happy I am. How happy Jordan helps me to be and how much I love him for how patient he is with me. He is always so thoughtful and always there for me. It has been 6 months of learning and growing, and I wouldn't trade if for anything. I have realized I married the perfect man for me, he makes me laugh, drives me crazy, but at the same time keeps me sane, and I have never felt this loved. He is my best friend, the one I want to play board games with, cuddle with, make faces at, clean the house with, and work beside for the rest of my life AND Forever! He is such an example to me and I hope someday I can be more like him. I must also mention, that I Love his Family!! I have 3 new sisters that I love and don't get to see enough. I have to most talented and caring in-laws anyone could ask for. I have loved getting to know them and love that this summer has brought us so many opportunities to do so.
Well I am off to bed. We have to get up early to do a paper route. We have house sat a lot this summer and have had the opportunity to do lot of odd jobs for people. We watched the Pursley's house and dog, then the Raines', now house watching plant watering dog and cat caring paper route cover singing time substitute for the Wright's, as well as plant watering for the Jordahls. We have loved the opportunities to help people out, it gives us a little extra to do with our time and feel of some use while others are gone. We really have loved it. It usually is worth it so we really don't mind it at all. Well here is to hoping the 4th of July will be just as good here in Thatcher as it is in Snowflake.
